Poor quality
Bought this from the Livingston store and through it in the bin, the varnish ruined my model, dried in lumps in the recess where it pooled. Doesn't leave as nice a finish as the Montana varnish Hobbycraft used to stock and also scratched easier. Very poor quality product. Bring back the Montana range. I will have to order online from somewhere else now. A lost customer Hobbycraft!

Worked exactly as described.
Used to seal acrylic paint on a doormat. Easy to use, quick drying. Definitely use outside on a still day.

it does what its supposed to do
shakes well, sprays well, matt clear finish - only goes white if you spray too close

Interesting finish
The varnish worked perfectly leaving an unexpected nice frosted finish on the glass

Would this work over ready mixed paint on ceramic baubles?
Yes it will work but you would need to take care and use several very light dustings to avoid the water soluble paint from bleeding or smearing.

is this spray sun and water proof? (Im thinking to use for resin painted garden ornaments)
It's rated as UV resistant, but I've never left something I've sprayed outside in the elements. I think it would do a good job of helping prevent fade of your ornamets, and on the can it is rated as an outdoor product. Apply several light coats, not one thick coat, as it will drip. Also shake really well, and start the spray off away from your project to get the nozzle dispensing properly.

Is this suitable for sealing inkjet printing on paper
I really wouldn't think so. Its a spray varnish....too wet for paper surely

Can this varnish be used on Perspex
Probably. It depends what result you want. This one is the matt, not the gloss. It does dry matt. So if your perspex is shiny, it will remove the shine. It would also need to be several light coats to avoid drips. Wait gor each coat to dry thoroughly before doing the next one. So if your intention is to make a piece of shiny perspex not shiny, yes it would work.
