An excellent range of paints.
Tamiya paints are odourless acrylic paints that can be thinned with tap water. For best results Tamiya X-20A thinner should be used. The large 250ml Bootle is the most economical way to thin the paint. The paint is excellent when sprayed with an airbrush. By adding a small amount of X-22 Clear and thinning the paint with X-20A thinner a smooth even opaque coverage can be achieved. The jars have a screw thread and the top can be tightened to obtain an air tight seal, preserving the paint months after the jar was opened. The range of paints cover primary colours to specialist military colours for model kits. The versatile paint range are ideal for hobby, art and craft application.

Consistently good
Having been a modeller for well over 40 years it was hard for me to move away from the enamel paints that I grew up with but Tamiya acrylics have generally good pigment, they are easy to stir ready for use and they literally stay in good condition for years - I have some colours that are more than 15 years old and still useable. The paints dry quickly, have a constant viscosity for airbrushing yet do not dry too quickly on the airbrush tip. And it may seem a strange asset to comment on but they also smell nice! Definitely recommended.

Old school and spot on!
I am building a 1940 British force and after having searched lots of manufacutters, I realised the Tamiya khakis stocked by hobby craft were the only ones that matched the images I had scene. Not only that, but when in store I was signed up for a hobby craft card so I get a discount on my next buy and a voucher on my birthday!! Win, win!!

Great Tamiya quality
Purchased this colour to paint up a scale models (6mm scale 3d printed plastic) for a desert diorama, including a military tent. It looks perfect for this purpose and only required one coat to completely cover with colour and have no show-through. This 'Khaki' colour would be perfect for any military/army models.
Tamiya acrylics are easy to use, wash out well with water and paint on easily with the right consistency balance between easy flow and not too thick to lose the detail in the model.
The jars are of glass construction, very sturdy and allow you to see the actual paint colour through the bottom. The lids are plastic (screw on) and are coloured accordingly to represent the dried colour of the paint (which can sometimes differ) and gives a fairly true representation.
The paint itself is rather odourless and fairly safe, as opposed to other non water-based varieties.
Would definitely recommend Tamiya acrylics for model painting and will continue to use them as my go-to paints.

Tamiya never fails
I use Tamiya acrylic paints as I use an airbrush to paint my models. The finish they give is fantastic!
I used to use enamel paints but found them really hard to work with.
If you are just starting out with acrylic I would recommend Tamiya all the way

Great paint pot
This product by Tamiya is car key coloured and very adaptable, suiting all sorts of gardens and climates. The colour is wonderful both on toast or simply on its own. Not at all toxic.

Great!
Easy to apply. Would recommend using a wet pallette if applying a lot to large area to prevent paint becomming tacky
