Great Tamiya quality
Purchased this colour to paint up a scale model vehicles (6mm scale 3d printed plastic) for a desert diorama. It looks great for this purpose and only required one coat to completely cover with colour and have no show-through. The colour is spot-on as desert yellow and looks fantastic on the vehicles.
Tamiya acrylics are easy to use, wash out well with water and paint on easily with the right consistency balance between easy flow and not too thick to lose the detail in the model.
The jars are of glass construction, very sturdy and allow you to see the actual paint colour through the bottom. The lids are plastic (screw on) and are coloured accordingly to represent the dried colour of the paint (which can sometimes differ) and gives a fairly true representation.
The paint itself is rather odourless and fairly safe, as opposed to other non water-based varieties.
Would definitely recommend Tamiya acrylics for model painting and will continue to use them as my go-to paints.

Tamiya XF59 Desert Yellow
The right shade for all vehicles serving in the first Gulf Conflict where the shade of camoflage was more of a yellow side of sand than the colour from 2003 onwards.
Easy to use, either through a spray gun or brush painted.
Remember to use thinners to maximize volume and for ease of coverage

Tamiya: The Best Model Paints
I use many different brands of paint in my model-making, but find Tamiya are one of the best - certainly as far as military models go. They spray smoothly through the airbrush (with a spot of Tamiya thinners) and are easy to use with a brush straight from the jar. Really can't fault them.

What It Says On The Tin.
This acrylic paint is brilliant to use when painting desert terrain/vehicles & buildings. Add a little water and use a sponge - it goes along way. Be advised that when using this method a 2nd coat is normally required!

covers well and not too thick - a worthwhile product !
This paint covers well on bare plastic and is not too thick straight from the pot.Spays well after thinning with Tamiya thinner. Brushes can be washed in water or thinner. Drys fairly quickly.

Typical Tamiya.
This paint is great. Close to perfect colours! Fantasic coverage both via brush and with Tamiya thinner (available at Hobbycraft ) works great in an airbrush.
