Great value for money
Tamiya paints as sold in Hobbycraft are very reasonably priced and easy to use. As they are acrylic you can clean your brushes in water after painting.

Does this paint act as a primer/undercoat as well as a top coat? Will it adhere to wood?
I have only used this paint on plastic scale models and I found it can be applied straight on the plastic. It needs several coats of the paint in order to achieve a satisfactory finish. As regards wood, I am sorry to say I do not know.
