Nice item, but no backing for the photo frame
I bought this to stain and gift to my brother (he works at his desk a lot as he studies law, I thought it'd be practical but also help brighten his desk space up a bit). I do love that the pine is untreated, so you can stain (or paint, though I definitely prefer to nourish the wood with oil stains) it however you wish (a nice tip on that note - you can mix a little bit of oil paints with linseed oil in order to stain pine whichever colour you'd like. You can also water down acrylic paints and stain with those if you prefer - though they don't offer nourishment the same way an oil based one will).
I also love the concept that you can insert a small photo or painting. However, sadly there is no backing for the photo itself (I just assumed there would be either thick card or a thin piece of MDF for that, like most photo frames have on the back to help secure pictures - but there isn't. There's just small flexible metal staples which keep the glass in place). So, if you're not careful your photo or painting/drawing potentially get ruined by any stationary. Unless you're someone who happens to have a huge store of framing card, and you happen to be someone who has the tools and knowledge to cut a photo backing yourself - it'll be a challenge to find a backing which will fit this space perfectly. This is my one complaint about this product and the only reason I give it 4/5 stars - it would be 5 if not for that one issue. I think all the small drawers and little compartments are very helpful (gives my brother a compact space to store his erasers, small cables/batteries and his correction fluid. The little shelf at the top even has space for a small papier mache sculpture I made him to perch on. It's definitely more helpful than just a utensils pot on its own, and I love solid pine. Just a shame about the photo insert having no backing).

Mini Desk Tidy. Love it!
These are gorgeous little desk tidies. Made of lovely smooth wood which is great to keep plain as it comes or ideal for staining or painting and the little glass window makes it really ideal to customise further to suit your space. Lovely title item!

It was faulty.
It was faulty and I didn’t realise, the wood between the drawers was wonky so the bottom drawer didn’t fit back in once taken out, I painted it before I noticed so I couldn’t return it. It was super low quality and quite honestly a waste of money.

Unable to open one drawer at all (jammed in solid) and the little knob fell off immediately it was touched.
The drawer is jammed so tightly, it will break if I try to force it open.
Will be returning to local store for refund 😞

Poor quality and build, not worth the money!
Very disappointing, smaller than the picture implies. Very cheap poor quality build. Not worth the price paid, sent back same day.

Slight damage
Even though the items were well packaged, one of the knobs hadn’t been stuck on properly, and came off when I removed the paper strip surrounding it. Luckily I was able to repair, rather than return it. Useful for storing small items like rubbers, pills, scissors, and my small iPhone ( just) so I don’t keep losing it.
