5 Stars4.8 / 5
Cricut Maker Ultimate Smart Cutting Machine is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be aware of the limitations The Cricut Maker opens up many opportunities for enhancing craft projects and is a very useful tool. I was torn between the cricut explore and the maker as I wanted engraving as well as vinyl cutting. The engraving tool is only available on the maker though there are third party companies that produce tools for cricut machines including an engraver for the explore. I decided on the maker just to have all the options available to me. I was impressed with the machine but disappointed that the high price of the machine doesn't include the full range of tools. The maker sets itself apart from the explore on being able to cut leather and wood but you need to buy the knife tool separately in order to do this and it becomes very expensive overall if you want all the tools to make full use of the machine's capability. The design software is very limited, I found it easier to prepare my designs in photoshop and import them, though for some reason cricut's design software alters the size on import, so you have to adjust it after you've imported it which can be frustrating. Some basic shapes and templates are available in the software to use, but the better stuff involves a subscription to their range. Cricut's terms and conditions are lengthy and though they do allow you to use some of their templates and fonts copyright-free, there are limitations especially if you plan on setting up a craft business and selling products that use cricut designs, so it's worth reading these thoroughly before you set up your products for sale. Working with those limitations in mind, you can produce some really nice, professional-looking items with this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much potential There's so much the Cricut can do, I have so many ideas already (only had it a week.) I'm loving my Cricut experience so far but I feel like I've barely scratched the surface on what I can create with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use This is a easy machine to use and get great results if I were new to getting a Cricut maker I would just mess about and see what it can do before I get into a full on project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product and it’s many features With my first Cricut I was disappointed when the design space was no longer compatible and I could only use the cartridges, because the machine itself was fab. I’m so glad to have bought the cricut maker I think it’s still the best machine out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unleash creativity! I've had my Cricut Maker for less than a week and it has already caused me several glorious sleepless nights of making things! I did a lot of research before the purchase and came in with full awareness of the things people usually complain about with these machines. Personally I really enjoy the Design Space app but I can see how it has limitations if you're coming from a heavier-duty program. For me it has enough features in a fairly intuitive interface to allow me to have a lot of fun trying things out! I've already used it to make beautiful elements for my Save the Dates and have some prototypes for some potentially sellable items. I could probably have got away with buying the Explore Air 2 instead but although I won't be using them all that much, it is great to know that I have the option to use thicker materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic looking smooth clean lines I would recommend the Cricut Maker every time. Its very easy to use and lots of online support in the way with loads of tutorials. Its really worth watching the tutorials and you can print them off too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only just getting to grips with it but seems great I upgraded to a maker from a Cricut air 2 , on the whole I am very pleased with it only giving 4 stars due to the fact that one of the promoted features the knife accessory is not included in the box and needs to be purchased separately which Is a bit much for a machine that already cost a large amount of money this is only my initial review no reflection on the store
