Knots in yarn
I found a join in the second ball of yarn, Also approx 12" after the join the yarn appeared thicker. I didn't notice until I had knitted a few rows. As it was on the front of a cardigan it didn't look good. I decided to it pull out and cut the yarn to remove the knot and the thicker yarn. I always prefer to join at the beginning of a row. I have another two balls still to knit up, so hopefully no more joins. I have used Hatfield Spirit before and this is the first problem. Spirit knits up lovely and the colours are beautiful.

This wool is very soft
I bought this wool to knit a blanket for my grandson, he had a baby blanket but asked for a blue striped blanket for his bed, as he likes to sleep under a blanket when it is hot. The multi blue coloured wool was just what he wanted. The wool knits up quickly and easily and it is also very soft to touch.

I’m knitting my grandson a pull on hooded jumper. The wool is fabulous to knit with, soft and looks fabulous I’m so pleased I chose it.

Wonderful blue
I really love this yarn. I’m using it to knit a scarf for a loved one and I know that they will love it to. The only issue is that it is a little tricky to cast on with it due to its softness (not a bad thing for a scarf) but becomes easier once you do a few rows. I’m also worried that there isn’t enough yarn to finish the scarf (not a big deal as I can tie more of the same to it) it would be nice if they did this yarn in a bigger quantity. Over all I am very happy with it.

NIce and soft
Nice wool to knit with but ball of wool is very loosely wound which means rewinding it fairly frequently. This is very annoying.

It’s nice to work with, but it has a pretty strong farm smells and I found quite a few joins so the colour didn’t flow
