How to Make a Jam Jar Posy and Bud Vase Arrangement
With jam jar flowers, transform table décor in a subtle, informal way! In a few simple steps, you can create a floral arrangement that will brighten up your summer celebrations, everyday dinners, and garden parties.
You could even create lots of jam jar posies to decorate wedding tables for a rustic, boho theme.
Pick flowers to suit your style – we've gone for tulips and daffodils, but it's easy to make this project your own.

How to make
Fill your jar with water and gather your flowers. I've used tulips and daffodils with some foraged leaves from the garden however you could apply these techniques to any flowers and foliage.
Add in two pieces of foliage that cross each other in the jar, I have cut mine to equal length to keep a balance in the jar.
Add in 3 of your flowers around the jar each 'heading' outwards, this will help give you jar balance and create an arrangement that looks interesting from all angles
Now add in some filler flowers to the centre of the jam jar, cut them at different lengths to create interest in your arrangement and create a full centre with the different height florals
Add in extra stems to add movement to the jar, I had a tulip with a slight bend that worked well in the gap on the left and then added in some more interesting shaped foliage to work out from the main bouquet.
Add water to your bud vases and then beginning adding in stems, you can either create a minimalist look with one flower in each or add more florals into each vase for a fuller look
If you are creating a group of florals then stick to 3 or 5 stems, odd numbers work better and you can cut each flower to different heights to add more movement to the arrangements.
