Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is everything a child needs I run a sewing class in our school. Our PTA team awarded us enough money to buy 10 of these machines for the children to use. I have 22 in my group who use these machines. They are perfect for little people to use with no sewing machine experience.easy to set up. Easy to use.exciting when finished products are seen by the children. The children just want more time to use them. Can I just say we have boys in the group too who now have sewing machines on their Christmas list. Fantastic product encouraging a dying out pass time. Well done hobby craft for giving the children a life experience at little cost thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tension issues Unfortunately this machine does have a few issues. I bought it after reading some very positive reviews but was disappointed to find that whilst stitching the thread keeps breaking. This seems to be due to the upper tension which, although there is an adjustment wheel, is consistently too tight. I also found that it had some issues picking up the bottom thread whilst using a zig-zag stitch, which became very frustrating. I think with a few tweaks in the manufacturing it could be a great, affordable little machine however, as it is now, I found it not fit for purpose and had to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great start! This is a good little machine for a beginner like myself. Easy to set up, complete with black and white thread, two full bobbins and a spare needle, it is easy to use and it has a good clear instruction manual. The machine is lightweight and it's petite size makes it easy to store away or whip out for quick alterations. It also comes with a bookable instore one to one demo lesson and online tutorials which are easy to follow. In the 7days that I have owned it I have made a usable shopping tote bag and a scarf from the cotton Fat Quarters I brought, then repaired two pairs of trousers. It is a great starting point for any would be seamstress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Machine I was originally going to buy a slightly bigger, more expensive model of sewing machine after my last one packed up, however when reading the reviews and considering how much sewing I do (I tend to binge every year or so and then nothing for a while!) I thought I would give this machine a shot - worst case scenario If I decided to upgrade it would be a spare my daughter could use. From the start I loved this little machine - it came ready to use (threading up is my worst nightmare) and I was able to make a new cushion cover withing 15 minutes of removing it from the box. Loved the fast and slow speed options. Simple to use, great for a novice or a part time sewer like me. I would highly recommend to anyone starting out, especially as it won't break the bank. Great value!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great starter machine My 7 year old wanted to buy this to make her dream happen so she could design and make clothes! The test pieces that were given with the machine were a really good start for her to get used to it. Speed settings are a lifesaver and 12 different stitch options means you’ve got it all covered. All pretty straight forward but haven’t worked out the button settings still...a little more complicated. The only downside right now is that the lead for the pedal is not long enough to reach the floor from a standard table height so you have to be a bit creative how you can make that happen!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was really excited by the reviews on this product as it suggested a really good machine for the price. Set up and getting started was really easy but within minutes the pedal broke and I had to return it to the store. When I got there another had been returned the same day with technical issues too. Really disappointing as I had such high hopes given the reviews. For the few minutes that it worked I can see why it would be a good machine for a beginner or young person as many of the reviews suggest. It's a great started machine with loads of functions just a shame this one didnt work out for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this machine ! I brought this machine online. It worked for all if 10 mins then the problems started. Took it back in store after a week of trying to sort the machine. Swopped for another of the same machine & this one was even worse ! From the bobbins not loading from the bottom to it ripping fabric, snapping thread, bunching stitches. Worst machine ice ever had !! Had a full refund & put an extra chunk of money & got a singer instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned for a singer Gave it a try, it already comes threaded and with a sample piece of material. Initially thought it was ok but after five mins the problems began. It constantly snaps the thread and within a few hours the needle was bent. Returned to store and swapped for an entry level singer for £30 more. What took two and half hours to attempt on this machine took thirty seconds on the singer. Even for beginners and children.. go for a proper machine.
