Rated 3 out of 5 by SisterHenry from Strange yarn I bought this as a 4 ply yarn to knit a waistcoat . It has a strange texture -though soft . It would be wrong to describe it as 4 ply in that there is a single thread only that has somehow been compressed . I discovered this when trying to pull it apart for stitching together . The texture is firm and due to its structure does not actually compress . I have completed the waistcoat but may yet pull it apart to knit a cushion .

The wool is beautifully soft and knits up almost like a cotton with great stitch definition. I bought it at a reduced price too so I'm really pleased. Would definitely recommend for baby/kids knits. Also, this was my first 'large shop' trip since lockdown and I thought the safety measures at Reading were first class. This made it stress free
